The Red Maple (Acer Rubrum) is an ornamental shade tree. Grows to a height of 40–60′ and a spread of around 40′ at maturity Considered a medium grower with growth increases of anywhere from 13″ to more than 24″ per year.  Amazing red and yellow fall color. Bares red (often yellow) clusters of small flowers winter to spring. The red maple grows in acidic, loamy, moist, rich, sandy, silty loam, well-drained and clay soils. It prefers wet soil conditions but has slight drought tolerance.

Full sun is recommended.
