The Latham Red Raspberry bush grows to heights of 4-5′ with spreads up to 4-5′. An erect shrub with upright almost thornless canes; burgundy fall foliage adds interest in the landscape. Latham raspberry plants are highly productive plants, and are extremely frost-proof. These are a full flavored variety that’s good for fresh eating, canning, freezing, jams, juices and pies. The Latham Raspberry are easy to pick and produce large 1″ diameter, firm, and red fruit.
Plant in loamy, moist, but well drained soils. Recommend soil pH level of 6.5 – 6.8. Self-fertile. Latham ripen evenly during the last days of June and early July with a three week extended period of maturation.
Full sun is recommended.
