The Green Weeping Willow (Salix Babylonica) is easy to grow and quick to take root. It grows to 30–40′, with a spread of around 35′ at maturity. This graceful giant is considered a fast grower, with growth of more than 24″ per year. Thrives in a wide range of soil and moisture conditions, but thrives best near water. Bares yellow flowers in April and May. This Willow tree provides food for rabbits, beavers, and big game such as deer. It also provides nesting sites for numerous small birds and mammals.
