The Fuji Apple tree is a fruiting tree that grows to a height of 10-15′ with spreads of 8-10′. It is considered a moderate grower. This apple has oval, spreading or horizontal, upright or erect shape.
Bloom time is April, blooms are blush pink. With its sweet/tart flavor, the Fuji Apple is a favorite fresh-eating apple that is crisp, firm, and juicy. Excellent taste. Boasts beautiful red-colored skin and is medium in size. Produces large yields that ripen late season. Also great for cider. The Fuji apple has a good keeping quality. They can be stored 3-6 months -as long as they are refrigerated.
This tree requires moist, well-drained soil and is not drought tolerant. Harvest early to mid-September. Pollinates with Gala, Golden Delicious, Jonathan, Red Delicious & Lodi. The Fuji is another low chill apple, only requiring only 200-400 chill hours.
